Nature's Treasure Hunt

Activities and a book to help your children learn about caring for our outdoor world! Check it out!

Max’s Corner

Leave No Trace

The young children in our programs are the future stewards of our public lands. Start now and teach them how to take care of all wild (and not-so-wild) places at a young age. Many parks are “pack in, pack out” areas. When out on an adventure, take along a zippy-bag to collect your trash. Even on a walk about your community with your children, model picking up trash on your journey. Just remember to grab a plastic bag before you head out the door. Before you leave the park, scout the area for trash and be sure to leave the place looking better than when you arrived. Click here to learn more about Leave No Trace. Visit this blog from the Wilderness Society for tips to make your adventure fun for the entire family!
