Make a Pine Cone Owl
Materials
- 1 pine cone for each child
- sticker eyes
- yellow highlighters
- white glue
- paper or sticky back craft foam to cut out diamond shapes for beak
- Orange sticky back craft foam to cut out feet and talons
Help the child choose a pine cone for their owl.
Take two sticker eyes.
Help the child use the yellow highlighters to color the eyes.
Place the eyes onto the pine cone.
Even though the eyes are stickers, you will need to put a drop of white glue onto the pine cone before placing each eye.
Take a diamond shaped beak. Fold it in half, and glue it into place on your owl. (Either paper or sticky backed craft foam works.)
Glue on the two feet with talons. (Cut a leg with three talons from sticky orange foam.)
