Walnut Shell Critters
Materials
- One half of a walnut shell for each child
- Felt for cutouts
- Wiggly eyes
- Glue
Create a walnut shell critter from the shell. Cut out an oval with legs and a head for a turtle. Add the eyes. Make a rabbit or a mouse.
Walnut Shell Boats
Materials
- One half of a walnut shell for each child
- A small lump of clay
- One toothpick each
- A triangle of construction paper measuring 1-2 inches
Make small sails from paper and a toothpick. Add a small lump of clay to the bottom of the inside of a walnut shell. Place the toothpick sail in the clay and sail your boat in a large bowl of water.
