Gelatin Animal Shapes

Gelatin Animal Shapes

This is a great and easy snack that kids love. I usually choose the flavor based on the animal shape I’m using. For example, I use Lime for Frogs.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups boiling water (don’t add cold water)
  • 2 pkg. Jell-O brand gelatin, any flavor (8-serving size each)

Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl until completely dissolved. Pour mixture into 13×9-inch pan. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or until firm (gelatin shouldn’t stick to finger when touched). Dip the bottom of the pan in warm water for about 15 seconds. Using animal shaped cookie cutters, cut Jell-O into desired shapes, making sure to cut all the way to the bottom. Remove animal shapes from pan with spatula. Either serve immediately or store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.

**Note: The remaining edges of Jell-O can be used in a fruit salad or you can melt it again to form more animal shapes.
