Turtle Shells

Turtle Shells

Give each child a small paper plate with a green construction paper turtle body stapled to it. Ask the children to finger paint scutes on the turtle shell. (Scutes are the bony external plates on the top of the turtle’s shell.) They can use crayons or markers as well, to decorate the shell.
